On October, 19-20th, 2004 in Moscow has transited traditional IntelDeveloper Forum (IDF) — the largest international computer Forum
By already added tradition in this autumn in Moscow, in a building of presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the next Forum led by corporation of Intel for implementators hardware and the software — IDF has taken place .
Since 2002 the Forum became the traditional cultural-technical phenomenon for our country. Current is the fourth similar action for Russia: 2002, 2003, and now and in 2004 , — in Moscow, in May, 2004 — in Novosibirsk.
During Forum actions its participants get acquainted with the last developments in the field of high technologies, and also with results of their implantation in various spheres of a life, starting from the industry, large, average and a small-scale business and finishing derivation and leisure. It is necessary to mark, that the first character in the Forum name is linked to Intel corporation, however it means International or Industrial as IDF mirror reachings of all branch more likely.
Estimating value of Forum IDF, it is necessary to mark, that at its sessions many outstanding products and processing techniques have been announced. Besides, 50 hours of technical seminars within the limits of 7 streams (cross-country-architectural the software, a hardware, mobility and convergence of processing techniques, telecommunication solutions, solutions for firms and experience of their usage, scientific and technical developments, a sponsor's stream), 18 hours of the laboratory operations, open desktops with leading experts from various areas of the computer and telecommunication industry were offered to participants of the Forum. Participants of the Forum could visit also an exhibition of processing techniques, products and the solutions, the allocated on more than 80 benches.
Opening the Forum, the president of Intel in Russia Steve Chejz (Steve Chase) has analyzed perspectivity of developments in computer area on an example of the researches led by corporation of Intel in Russia.
From negative features of the Russian computer market he has marked that fact, that only 5 % of firms actively use technical innovations in business. The sector of innovations makes less than 1 % of gross national product, that essentially less than the developed countries and even «China which because of economy scales these investments has more». All it does not promote abbreviation of existing scientific and technological backlog.

The lecturer has counted the mentioned facts as serious obstacles for external investments and fast development of Russia. As a result, competitiveness and attractiveness of other countries, as a rule, appears essentially above, there is a leakage flow of scientific talents, and the Russian economy very strongly depends on raw sector of economy which operates with not filled resources and does not differ the stable income.
However as the main internal advantages of Russia have been named "traditional tendency to invent", and also traditional high level of derivation in the field of natural sciences. It leaves chances of Russia is taken an appropriate place among the rich, developed countries.
