The design of motherboard
FR33E of FIC corporation as a whole corresponds to referens-design of similar products.The functional mode of memory modules SDRAM can be or synchronous (clock rate coincides with frequency FSB), or asynchronous (clock rate differs on 33 Hz from frequency FSB).
Levels of powers, temperature and operation of fans of coolers are inspected by resources hardware monitoring (http://rudteam.narod.ru/mb/monitoring/monitoring.html) through BIOS Setup (Current CPU Temp. / Current System Temp. / Current CPU FUN Speed / Current System FUN Speed).
There is a possibility of installation of the forced modes for the processor at the expense of change of frequency of processor bus FSB (overclocking) without correction of power of a kernel and input/output chains.
Integrated into structure of motherboard FR33E of FIC corporation network tools allow to include easily the computer through built in RJ45 (LAN plug in local area network structure.
Because of rather low power of the integrated graphics resources which are a part of used chip set VIA Apollo PLE133T motherboard FR33E of FIC corporation cannot be recommended fans of modern games. However it can be successfully used as an inexpensive component for the systems oriented to solution of office tasks. Presence of built in ISA slot and network tools allow to take up a position FR33E for application in a metering equipment and the industry where standard ISA till now uses.
For a computational capability estimation some results of testing of the systems created on the basis of motherboard FR33E of FIC corporation are more low resulted.
Pattern of the systems used in testing
Motherboards:
- FR33E (Socket 370),
- Abit BE6-II (Slot 1, HPT 360).
Processors:
- Intel Celeron of 1,3 GHz (Socket 370, kernel Tualatin, 256 Kbytes of cache memory L2, 100 MHz FSB),
- Intel Celeron of 600 MHz (Socket 370, kernel Coppermine, 128 Kbytes of cache memory L2, 66 MHz FSB),
- Intel of Pentium III 550 MHz (Slot 1, kernel Coppermine, 256 Kbytes of cache memory L2, 100 MHz FSB).
Hard disk:
- IBM DPTA-372050 (20 Gbytes, 2 Mb of the cache memory, 7200 rpm, UltraDMA/66).
Audio:
- Creative Sound Blaster Live! Player 1024 (CT4760)
CD-ROM:
- ASUS CD-S400/A.
THE WORKING MEMORY:
- 256 Mb SDRAM.
The videoadapter:
- Asus V3800 (TNT2) with a video memory of 32 Mb.
OS:
- Windows 98 Second Edition with the installed drivers of the controller of hard disks Ultra DMA/66.
