However, despite all advantages of traditional desktop systems, weight and a binding from an electrical network providing them energopitanie, limit areas of usage of similar engineering. Really, traditional desktop computer presented even by a compact model, you will not take with yourself in road, to business trip or holiday. Nevertheless, the requirement for such arrangements is greatest, that has found the reflexion in appearance and fast development of transportable computers of type a notebook.

Created on the basis of small on the size, but powerful and energoekonomichnyh processors, modern notebooks are high-powered arrangements and differ the big functionality. These possibilities are supported and extend through carefully designed architecture.

For the extension of possibilities the architecture admits hooking up of the big number of various peripheral devices through special plugs. It can be external disk drives, flash-memory charms, digital videocameras and cameras, players MP3, scanners, printers, etc . Thus in modern notebooks despite presence of the built in qualitative is liquid-crystalline displays (ZhK-displeeev), convenient keyboards and thumbwheels hooking up of peripherals of similar assignment, as a rule, is provided.

And still the structure of notebooks includes multi-channel audiosystems, rather powerful video resources and the built in optical drives of CD/DVD.

Some of them provide hooking up to a computer network, others – possibilities of a beam coupling and access to the Internet. And recently to them the unit of wireless communication Wi-Fi realising standard IEEE 802.11a/b/g was added.

From the results of testing resulted in Table 2 it is visible, that productivity of notebook Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO M 1420 really exceeds similar metrics of notebook RoverBook Nautilus E410W released two years ago on a basis topovoj of model of the processor of Intel of Pentium M. Here it is necessary to take into consideration that the model of the processor with clock rate of 1,5 GHz was then one of upper among (1,3, 1,4, 1,5, 1,6 GHz) efficient transportable processors., considering, besides, presence of cheap Intels Celeron M, rather high-speed Mobile Pentium  of 4 and economic models with low and an ultralow voltage of power supply of a kernel. Created on the basis of 1,5 GHz of the processor notebook RoverBook Nautilus E410W was then the high-powered arrangement. Considering this, revealed in the course of acquaintance, testing and the analysis advantage of notebook Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO M 1420 over RoverBook Nautilus E410W is necessary for considering as natural evolution of transportable computers therefore productivity and functionality grows.

As to matching Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO M 1420 with desktop computers, that, it is illustrated by data in Table 3. In the course of testing in some cases the performance level has exceeded metrics of the desktop system constructed on the basis of the processor of Intel of Pentium 4 E 530 with clock rate of a kernel of 3 GHz. Such case is illustrated by the results of test Whetstone FPU presented in Table 3 and in a Fig. 4. However for the sake of justice, it is necessary to mark, that there are facts and opposite. Eventually, desktop systems also do not stand on a place and acquire more and more perfect and efficient components. Nevertheless, the received results of testing deserve the most steadfast attention as show fast development of transportable systems.

So, the resulted results allow the underplate to assert, that modern transportable computers are really capable to compete on a performance level not only with competing models of notebooks, but also to make a worthy competition to desktop high-powered systems, at least, as it follows from tests, in some computing tasks.
