The purpose of development of the new chip sets, intended to replace sets of the previous generation, was not only tendency to provide the big productivity of transportable systems. The matter is that the high-powered processors constructed on the basis of the architecture of kernel Tualatin, demand specific features of maintenance. To meet these requirements are called not only the special converters of the power supply appropriate to the specification V M 8.5 and allocated on motherboards, but also the appropriate sets of system logic specially oriented to transportable solutions. These chip sets provide the co-ordinated and effective operation of processor Mobile of Pentium III-M and other parts of the transportable computer.

Productivity of new processors Mobile of Pentium III-M in patterns with i830M is shown by results of tests. The estimation of a gain of productivity is given concerning a pattern with processor Mobile of Pentium III 1,0 GHz.

Parsing possibilities of processors and the chip sets oriented to systems with processors of Pentium III-M, it is necessary to mark, that Intel does not refuse and the products created on the basis of kernel Coppermine. So, for example, the beginning of October, 2001 was marked by the announcement of twelve new transportable processors from Intel corporation, including Mobile Pentium III-M with kernel Tualatin.

The resulted substances testify to existence for the corporation of Intel, not gathered to concede the lead to competitors, the serious wide program on eligibility and development of transportable solutions.
