Pattern of system from Pentium III 700E, used in testing:

The motherboard: Abit BE6-II (a chip set i440BX AGPset, processor Slot 1 plug , to 4 arrangements IDE UltraDMA/33 and 4 arrangements IDE UltraDMI/33/66 through HPT366, possibility of change of frequency of bus FSB and powers of a kernel and I/O).

The processor:

Intel of Pentium III 700E (kernel Coppermine, cache memory L2 — 256 Kbytes on frequency of the processor, the recommended frequency of the bus of the processor — 100 MHz, a kernel supply voltage — 1,65 In, Socket 370 plug , konstruktiv FC-PGA (hooking up through an adapter), in box, pack date 04/27/2000, version A15753-001, S-Spec — SL45Y).

Hard disk: IBM DPTA-372050 (20 Gbytes, 2 Mb of the cache memory, UltraDMA/66).

Dynamic storage: 128 Mb, PC100.

The videoadapter: Asus AGP-V3800 TV (video chip set TNT2, a video memory —32 Mb).

CD-ROM: ASUS CD-S400/A (40x).

OS: Windows 98 with the installed drivers of the controller of hard disks UDMA/66.

Exercisers: a package of tests WinBench 99 v1.1, namely CPUmark99 and FPU WinMark.

Dispersal

Installation of modes of dispersal was carried out in BIOS Setup at the expense of increase in frequency of the bus of the processor in SoftMenu III Setup. The power of a kernel of the processor on frequencies 700 (100), 770 (110), 840 (120) MHz has been installed standard, that is 1,65 V.Na to frequency of 910 MHz for the purpose of rise of stability of operation power on a processor kernel have been increased to 1,7 V.Neobhodimost in power increase has been called by astable system operation at a standard level 1,65 Century

The specified levels of power do not represent danger to working capacity of the processor. Rise in temperature has been fixed by resources hardware monitoring at the rate of about 10-15 degrees of Celsius and did not exceed values 45-47 that testifies to the moderate mode of dispersal which are not representing to danger to the processor even with regular cooling fan.

The choice of parametres of the unit of modes of dispersal in BIOS Setup illustrates fig. 5.

Power rise on a kernel of the processor to level 1,80-1,85 In allows to raise frequency of bus FSB and, accordingly, an operating frequency of the processor of Pentium III 700E to 950 MHz and even above.
